Saturday Visits

Stephen, Megan, and Madeline visited this weekend, so we were able to enjoy lunch and dinner with them today in between their adventures in Galveston. We had a great time visiting and catching up with them! Thanks for coming to visit, and we look forward to visiting y'all sooner than later! We love y'all!

Spring Break with Alexandra

Monday afternoon I made my way to Houston to spend some quality time with my favorite little girl. The realization that Alexandra is turning into a little girl is crazy! She is growing up too fast! I'm so thankful that Spring Break allows me to have extra time to do things such as this. Mom and I took tons of pictures and I narrowed them down as much as I could. Thanks for letting us come play with you, Sugar! I miss you already! Aunt Laura loooooooooves you!!! :)

I got to go pick her up from school with Hanna. Here she is on the way home. :)
That night I was given the joy of putting Alexandra to bed. We read several books and then we rocked in her chair till she was fast asleep, and then some. . . who doesn't like rocking a sleeping baby? :)
And when I laid her down, she didn't make a peep! (Until she woke up at midnight and Grammy rocked her back to sleep.)
The next morning we got up with the mission of getting dressed and out the door to have lunch with Hanna during her lunch hour. Alexandra didn't want much to do with breakfast, but she did want a cookie! Well, why not? The girl needed to eat! And Mommy won't know!!! By the way, this picture is one of my all-time favorite pics of my Sugar. :)
This is our best portrait together. . .
Playing with Mommy's science toys at work!

Sugar was a major hit at Hanna's work. :)
Hanna thinking hard at her desk. . .
Me, Grammy, Alexandra, and Hanna
Sugar had a minor tantrum while we were out for lunch, so I got her a chocolate shake. Problem solved! This girl looooooooooooves her a chocolate shake (and having her own cup). She basically wouldn't stop drinking it and we don't know how she didn't get a brain freeze. . .
Not too happy when Mommy wanted a sip. . .
Still drinking it when we got home!
Gramps came to visit in the afternoon, and Sugar got to help give him a back rub!
Soon enough Gramps fell asleep on the floor, and Sugar was kind enough to loan him her baby. :)
Wake up, Gramps! Nap time is O-V-E-R!
Sidewalk chalk!
All gone! :)
I made an obstacle course. . .

GOAL!!!
She was more interested in playing with the obstacle course items in ways that they weren't intended, but whatever makes her happy!!!

Horsey with Gramps! Weeeeeeeeeee!

Off for a walk to the park!
Our little fashionista!
I can't wait to come and play again!

Dinner and Books

Last night I was able to stop by to see Hanna, Jonathan, and Alexandra for a short while for dinner and for some light reading. I purchased my Sugar a couple of books at our book fair a last week, and those books were longing to be read! Alexandra loooooooves books, so she fits right in to our family. Good thing, huh? Lol! My favorite of her two new books is called Hello, Texas! It's the one that we're reading in the pictures below. It takes you all over our state to see Texas landmarks and Texas animals. It was a hit! I get to see her again tomorrow. . . put your party pants on Sugar!!!

p.s. Thanks for dinner, Hanna and Jonathan! I had fun with y'all too! :)))))
